Ice hockey: Goal scorer Linus Klasen received a match penalty in Djurgården’s victory against Mora

Mora had a 2–1 lead to go after two periods played. But Djurgården stepped out with a lot of energy for the third.

In barely two minutes, the home team turned the game around, after, among other things, a cool penalty goal from Linus Klasen.

The 38-year-old came to the center of the action a few minutes later when he cross-checked Noah Steen in the face.

Djurgårdstjärnan was awarded a match penalty and the home team thus had to play box play for five minutes. Klasen, however, avoids suspension as the incident has not been reported to the disciplinary board, reports The Express on Wednesday morning.

However, Mora did not manage to get the equaliser, and Djurgården thus won the first semi-final in the Hockey Allsvenskan playoffs.

– It was a bit of a slow start, but we are showing character. We find a way to win, it’s really nice, says 3-2 shooter Linus Eriksson to TV4 Play.

The next match is played at Hovet on Thursday.
