Annecy 52%-48% Roanne
Unlike its group leader, Annecy is still a fragile dolphin and it has, among other things, this team from Roanne as a close competitor. The Knights must absolutely take advantage of the arrival of the Foxes at the edge of the lake to widen the gap.
Back from Weekend 17th D2 day
Back to this extended weekend which also allowed us to update the calendar a little. But then really a little since unfortunately we learned that the Colmar-HCMP meeting was canceled to be postponed to a date not yet fixed.
No real surprise except for the fine performance of the Roosters who were able to take the best of the Flying French yet on their Bercy ice rink. But above all we have not witnessed any major upheavals in the ranking.
Some teams have lost without falling down the rankings like Reims, Valence; others, despite the victory, have hardly moved in the end, such as Amnéville and our deserving Roosters from Courbevoie, as also Toulouse and Roanne. The HCMP tied with them sees itself a little distanced due to the cancellation of its match.
The greatest victims are in fact the reserve of Rouen, Vaujany (effective reserve of Grenoble) and to a lesser extent that of Angers. These teams, which have only known defeat this weekend, have been quite impacted by the France U18 and U20 teams in the campaign for a week and who draw generously on the workforce of these clubs.
SATURDAY MATCHES
POOL A
Saturday 12
Angers II 3 – 4 Valenciennes (49% – 51%)
The Angevin reserve more than resisted against the second pool. With the contribution of the ”magnusien” Téo Sarliève (who did not score but counted for all the goals) the young hopefuls were able, as we thought, to make life difficult for the Diables nordistes in a suspenseful match. The Valenciennes hero is called Rémi Hourque who scores the last goal 40 seconds from the end when the Dukes had just equalized by taking advantage of a 5 against 3. Valenciennes by the same consolidates its 2th place than the 3th Reims lost. More complicated for the Angevins clinging to their 7th square. Admittedly Paris behind lost but it has 2 games less on its counter. Finally the good news is the defeat of Evry-Viry which therefore sees the difficulty of joining the qualifying places in the play-offs accentuate a little more.
Meudon 4 – 1 Rouen II (55% – 45%)
Travel to the leader for our young Dragons is all the more difficult as they had only come in very limited numbers (15 outfield players and 1 goalkeeper) following the summons of many young hopefuls to the various U20 junior selections and U18. They managed to resist a good half of the meeting before seeing the Comets fly away (moderately) to the score. Under these conditions our tendencies could only be respected. So certainly the Angevins see Amnéville and Wasquehal passing them in front of them but with their 2 games behind there is nothing prohibitive to a possible return to the leading quartet. Obviously nothing has changed for the Ile-de-France residents comfortably installed at the head of the pool.
Evry-Viry 3 – 6 Amneville (50%-50%)
We were thinking of a tighter meeting but por having missed their start to the match, the commuters missed an opportunity to return to the top 8 places. Indeed the closest teams preceding them also had to lower their flag. The good operation is therefore for the Dogs of Amnéville who integrate the first 4 places.
Wasquehal 6 – 1 Reims (50,50% – 49,50%)
Our prognosis was respected, not our odds. The break was obtained from the 1is third for the Lions. The phoenixes scored once on the power play but conceded 6 goals, 4 of which were shorthanded. Here are our northerners back to the 5th place but all the more threatened as Wasquehal is one of the few teams to have 17 games on the clock. Which is not the case for their closest pursuers (16 for Angers, 15 for Rouen and 14 for Paris). Reims keeps its 3th place but sees Amnéville and its winner of the day getting closer but a small advantage for the Phénix, they have one game less.
Paris FV 5 – 7 Courbevoie (52% – 48%)
The Parisians have not responded to the expectation of our tendencies. Losing at home against the last group is necessarily a poor performance. The Volants had however started well by obtaining the break at the end of the 1time period. But they crumble somewhat at 2th third by conceding 4 goals without returning a single one. They do not even win the last third with a last goal conceded 4 seconds from the end to Maxime Leroux who was their executioner of the evening with 5 achievements. For the moment the Parisians remain camped on this precious 8th place while, always last, the Roosters still preserve a very small possibility of winning their place in the play-off. Note that these 2 teams have only 14 games on the clock, soon 15 for the Volants who will play again this Sunday on their Bercy ice cube. After 4 defeats in a row, they have a great interest in winning again.
POOL B
Saturday 12 (day 17)
Colmar – Courchevel-Méribel-Pralognan (50.50% – 49.50%)
The Colmar – HCMP meeting initially scheduled for this Saturday February 12 has been postponed to a later date.
Poitiers 0 – 9 Morzine – Avoriaz (42% – 58%)
What can I say, unsurprisingly the Poitevin Dragons were only able to keep pace with their opponent for a third time, while conceding a goal all the same. The 2th period was more trying with 5 goals conceded this time, to end up with 3 others without being able to reply once. Result without consequence for the classification, maybe a little more morally for the Poitevins who must nevertheless try to store up a little confidence to face the test of the play-downs.
Valence 4 – 6 Toulouse-Blagnac (52% – 48%)
Our ratings have been severely contradicted. Blame it on a cannon start from Toulouse. Very opportunistic they score 2 of their 3 goals on the power play without conceding anything. After it was a “remake” of the hare and the tortoise, the Lynx go back to the score without ever being able to catch up. It should be noted that the meeting was peppered with penalties and it is perhaps there that the defeat of the Drôme is partly explained. The good operation in the ranking is of course for the Belugas who have returned to 3th place, followed like their shadow by Roanne on equal terms. The Lynx remain when to them at the 6th place.
Annecy 2 – 1 Villard-de-Lans (52% – 48%)
As we thought the Knights won not without difficulty in a meeting where defense takes precedence over attack. There also the 1time period was decisive with the 2 Savoy goals, the visitors reduced the gap to 2th third and that will be it. It is therefore on a football score that Annecy ensured its 2th place and move away the Bears in the 10-length classification. These are found 7th in this 2th ranking part that has not changed during this weekend.

POOL A
Sunday 13 (postponed day 12)
Paris FV 5 – 2 Angers II (51% – 49%)
Well this time the French Volants responded to the expectation of our tendencies against Angevins deprived this time of the contribution of Sarliève. Like the day before they flexed in 2th third but in much more reasonable proportions and which did not call into question the break obtained in 1time period. They confirm with 2 other goals in the last third. This victory allows them to drop the 2 reserve teams, Rouen and Angers, to take the 6th square. It is therefore Angers which takes charge of this 8th and last qualifying place for the play-offs
POOL B
Sunday 13 (Day 17)
Roanne 7 – 0 Vaujany (51% – 49%)
The Grizzlys’ loss was heavier than our odds predicted. As for the reserve of Rouen, the fault probably with a great number of their best hopes taken in various national selections. Thus the 2 Grossetête brothers were not able to confront each other again; the youngest Valentin having left to play a tournament with the France U18 team. Roanne did not miss the opportunity to heal his stats. and stay in contact with 3th Toulouse. For Vaujany, nothing has changed, they keep the 8th place that will have to be defended dearly against the threat of the Colmar Titans who could not play this weekend.
