The court recalled in a statement that Mongolia is a State Party to the Rome Statute of the CPI and that it depends precisely on its States Parties and other partners to execute its decisions, including in relation to arrest warrants.
“The States Parties to the Rome Statute of the CPI have an obligation to cooperate under Chapter IX of the Rome Statute, while non-States Parties may decide to cooperate voluntarily,” the court recalled.
Warns that “in case of lack of cooperation, the judges of the CPI may make a finding to that effect” and report to the Assembly of States Parties, which would then take “such measures as it considers appropriate.”
