IC Martini Hospital Groningen partly cleared for chlorine tablets

In the Martini Hospital in Groningen, part of the IC was evacuated at the beginning of the afternoon because there was a “pungent odor” there. The fire brigade looks for the cause in a jar of chlorine tablets. This was brought out by a number of firefighters in protective suits.

At the beginning of the afternoon, the fire brigade turned out after a report about hazardous substances. Measurements were taken in the building. The fire brigade found the vial of chlorine tablets and brought it outside, reports RTV North. The IC department is currently being ventilated. As long as that happens, the patients cannot go back.

Initially, this afternoon there was talk of the eviction of a number of departments of the Martini Hospital. Now the fire brigade reports that “less than ten patients” have been moved from the ICU. There are also a number of corona patients in that ward.
