The International Biathlon Union, IBU, confirms to the Norwegian television channel that Olle Dahlin is being investigated for having entered into an agreement with the sponsor company Infront, with which the IBU had an agreement for marketing and television rights during Anders Besseberg’s time as chairman.
According to NRK, the agreement with Dahlin has meant a favorable price for Infront, which he firmly denies.
“I am completely shocked by the accusations, which are completely unfounded, and I refute them all in the strongest possible terms,” writes Olle Dahlin in an email to NRK and continues:
“I will not hesitate to take any legal action necessary to uphold my good name and reputation.”

The Swede has been chairman of the IBU since 2018, when the Norwegian Anders Besseberg, who is accused of bribery and corruption and risks prison.
That Dahlin is accused of the same type of settlements as his representatives, he dismisses as a plot to sow doubt around his credibility as chairman, writes NRK.
He writes that he will cooperate with the police and believes that the work he did for the IBU should speak for his innocence.
“Since becoming President of the IBU, I have led a comprehensive reform of IBU governance that ensures the organization operates in line with international best practice and is subject to independent review by the Biathlon Integrity Unit,” Dahlin writes.
