Ibrahimovic Will Not Retire Before Winning With Milan

Even though he’s four years old, Zlatan Ibrahimovic still reluctant to retire. Ibrahimovic insists he will continue to play until he can bring AC Milan champion.

The Swedish football star turned 40 last October. Although he is still able to play at the top level of football, it is undeniable that Ibrahimovic’s body is not as strong as it used to be.

Since returning to Milan in January 2020, Ibrahimovic has never been injury-free and has missed 30 games. However, Ibra still has a significant influence that helps Rossoneri able to compete in the Scudetto hunt.

Ibrahimovic has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 15 appearances in Serie A this season. However, Ibra has not featured in 2022 due to a recurring injury in his Achilles muscle.

Ibrahimovic believe AC Milan deserves to be rewarded a trophy after showing rapid progress. Milan currently ranks second in the Italian League standings and is in the Coppa Italia semifinals. Ibra wants to lead Milan to the championship ladder before retiring.

“My future is football, my world is football,” Ibrahimovic was quoted as saying Football-Italia. “I’m disappointed because I haven’t been able to play at the moment, it really hurts me especially when the team is doing well.”

“I wanted to be there and help the team, we’ve done a lot of good things since my arrival and now we’re just missing one element: a trophy.”

“We are fighting to achieve it. I will not stop playing until I win something with this Milan,” he was straightforward.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic into the final months of his contract with AC Milan. However, the club have indicated they are willing to extend his stay.
