Jakarta –
At nearly 40 years of age, Zlatan Ibrahimovic still scoring goals for AC Milan in Serie A. Even so, the Swedish forward is not the oldest player to do so.
Ibrahimovic scored one goal against Pepe Reina when he beat Lazio in the third giornata which took place at the San Siro, Sunday (12/9) night WIB. He scored at the age of 39 years 344 days.
Among current Serie A players, he is probably the oldest goalscorer. But in overall history, Sky Sport Italia writes that Ibrahimovic is currently only fifth.
That is, there are players who are older than Ibrahimovic, and even the first player is the defender. Who is he?
Let’s look at the player in fourth first. There, entrenched the living legend of AS Roma, Francesco Totti. The Fantasista retired in 2017. His last goal came on 25 September 2016 against Torino, two days before his 40th birthday.
If calculated in more detail, Totti scored at the age of 39 years 364 days.

Next in third place is Pietro Vierchowod, the 1982 World Cup winner. The Sampdoria legend is still playing until 41 years old, and retired in 2000.
His last goal came on 23 May 1999, when defending Piacenza in the match against Salernitana. At that time, he was 40 years 47 days.
In second place is the late Silvio Piola. Having won the 1938 World Cup, Piola scored his last goal in Serie A at the age of 40 years and 131 days. It happened in his last season as a footballer, when he scored against AC Milan on February 7, 1954.

Lastly, who ranks first, is Alessandro Costacurta. The AC Milan legend who now works at the FIGC scored from a penalty in his last match in Serie A, which was against Udinese on 19 May 2007. At that time, he was 41 years and 25 days. At the end of the season, he immediately hung up his boots.
Looking at the data above, Ibrahimovic clearly can still beat the names above, provided he continues to play in Serie A until next season, and can appear consistent and free from injury.
