Thanks to the home win, Milan remain two points ahead of city rivals Inter Milan.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored two goals and Croatian Ante Rebic was twice as successful. The 1-0 win by Ibrahimovic after half an hour was the Swede’s 500th competitive goal in club football.
The 39-year-old scored his first goal on October 30, 1999 for Malmö. Ibrahimovic scored goals for nine clubs: in addition to Malmö and Milan, also for Ajax Amsterdam, Juventus Turin, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Los Angeles Galaxy.
This Serie A season, Ibrahimovic has 14 goals – and only ten appearances away from the start. Due to a muscle injury, he missed nine games between late November and mid-January. He managed a double six times.
