Said Stefano Pioli, coach MilanStriker Zlatan Ibrahimovic apologized after being sent off in a 2-1 defeat by Inter Milan in a thrilling Coppa Italia match on Tuesday.
Ibrahimovic gave the lead with a goal for Milan in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia, before tension dominated the atmosphere in San Siro.
Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku, the two former teammates at Manchester United, quarreled and exchanged angry words at the end of the first half before the players intervened to calm them down as they were off the field.
The referee famously won the yellow card for the players before Ibrahimovic received another card due to a foul against Alexander Kolarov, to be dismissed in the second half, the first time he received a red card in Europe since his dismissal with Paris Saint-Germain against Chelsea in March 2015.

Inter went from being late to a win, as Lukaku equalized from the penalty spot before substitute Christian Eriksen scored the winning goal in the seventh minute of stoppage time, as Antonio Conte’s side qualified for the semi-finals.
He added, “We paid the price in the last half hour and we could not get a positive result. It was not supposed to happen, but this is how it went. We feel very sorry that we were so well prepared for the match. ”

Inter will wait for the winner of Wednesday’s match between Juventus and SPAL, after capitalizing on a deadly goal by substitute Eriksen.
This is the first goal for the Danish player in his current disappointing season, and Eriksen has started only four games in the league this season and it has been reported that he is close to returning to England in light of his suffering in Italy since his move from Tottenham Hotspur one year ago.
Despite this, Conte said Eriksen would not leave during the current transfers.

Conte told reporters: “I have been repeating what I have been saying one month ago, that no one will go and no one will join.”
“We are working with Christian on the planning side to be the substitute (for Marcelo) Brozovic because we do not have another playmaker in the squad.”
