A series full of plot twists, unfortunately most of them to the detriment of the iBo team
The semi-final clash started badly for iBo and his teammates. Their opponents took the lead from the 12th minute and, what’s worse, they were building their advantage very quickly. At one point, the difference in gold reached almost seven thousand. But Ramboot Club had not said its last word yet. The turning point was the fight for Baron in the 26th minute, in which the RBT players triumphed. The scales of victory tipped in their favor and although the game lasted a little longer, they managed to bring it to a happy ending for themselves.
The next two matches, however, started much better for the home-grown toplaner’s brigade. In both the second and third, they gained more resources in the initial stages, which translated into a large cash injection. Unfortunately, in both of these battles, Eric “Independent” Ruiz’s team stumbled at some point, causing the entire advantage to vanish. As a result, Barça was the first to score a match point.
Most likely, these losses had a big impact on the iBo formation. Or at least that’s what we can assume based on the results of the last match. In this one, Matti “WhiteKnight” Sormunen and his allies ran over their opponents. The perfect confirmation of these words is the fact that at the end of the game, the scoreboard showed 8 eliminations on the RBT side and 31 on the BAR side.
With this, iBo ends its participation in the Spanish league play-offs with a bronze medal. Barça, on the other hand, advanced to the grand final and will face Los Heretics again next Saturday, but this time for the championship title.
