Iberostar Tenerife has acquired the services of the forward Jacobo Díaz in an agreement with an option of three seasons and the possibility of him being loaned out. The new Canarian player, who is recovering from an operation, will start the preseason with the Aurinegro first team.
Díaz belongs to the generation of 96 and is a 2.04 that started in the quarry of CB Santa Cruz (2007-12) to later join the Movistar Estudiantes subsidiaries (2012-14).
International in lower categories, he played for the Canary Basketball Academy in LEB Silver, during the 2014-15 academic year, before completing his training at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania of the NCAA II (2015-19).
Last season he played in the ranks of Marín Peixegalego of LEB Oro, where he averaged 10.5 points and 6.3 rebounds for an average PIR of 11.5.
