For Iberia, the Mexican market is one of the most important in the region and proof of this are the three daily flights it maintains with Mexico City, said Juan Cierco, corporate director of Iberia.

During the presentation of this airline and the sponsorship of LaLiga for Latin America, the executive said that Iberia is in a year in which its main strategic focus is concentrated on reinforcing its commitment to the Latin American markets. He specified that in the region the airline operates to 18 destinations in 16 countries, of which Mexico is its main market.

This effort, he said, has made it possible to reach record numbers of flights both for the next summer season and for the winter season that starts at the end of October and that, added to this, consolidates its leadership in connectivity between Latin America and Europe, as he indicated that Iberia mobilizes annually between the two countries, about 750 thousand passengers.

The presentation event was attended by Nicolás García Hemme, VP of Strategy for LALIGA North America and Diego Godín, LALIGA legend and former Atlético de Madrid player.

as reported REPORTUR.co, Iberia recently launched the offensive towards Peru with 13 weekly flights from Madrid to Lima and five frequencies from the Spanish capital to Caracas, Venezuela. (Iberia launches offensive towards Peru and Venezuela since September).

Although the winter season begins at the end of October, Iberia will begin to reinforce these frequencies from now on. Between Madrid and Lima, two daily flights will be operated, except on Sunday. The operation with Caracas will have five a week.
