Ibas Urges Jakarta-Bandung High Speed ​​Rail Project to be Audited

Party Faction Leader Democrat in the House Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono alias Ibas urges the project Jakarta-Bandung High Speed ​​Train immediately audited. According to him there are irregularities that must be revealed.

Ibas also questioned the government’s long-term plans to build infrastructure, such as the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Economic Growth (MP3EI). According to him, it must be in accordance with the state’s budget.

The dream of becoming a developed country must still be accompanied by an introspective and calculating attitude.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) issued Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 107 of 2015 concerning the Acceleration of the Implementation of Fast Train Infrastructure and Facilities between Jakarta and Bandung on October 6, 2015.

Through this regulation, Jokowi allows the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail project to use the state budget. Now, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has also been appointed as chairman of the committee.

The financing is related to the KAI report regarding the swelling of the funding needs in the project.

Initially, the funding requirement was assumed to be US$6.07 billion or around Rp.86.67 trillion (exchange rate of Rp.14,280 per US dollar), but then it rose to US$8 billion or Rp.114.24 trillion as of September 2021.
