Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono alias Ibas officially received a Doctorate in Business Management (DMB) Batch 12 at the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). Ibas graduated with GPA cum laude, ie 4.0.
The Ibas graduation was ratified through the Online Graduation of the Undergraduate, Professional Veterinary, Masters, and Doctoral Education Program Phase VII in 2021 IPB. The event took place today (25/8) from 09.00 to 11.25.
The dissertation researched by Ibas is entitled ‘Financing and Investment Strategy for Sustainable and Inclusive Integrated Tourism Development’. The dissertation was appointed by Ibas because he considered that there were no studies that specifically examined financing and investment strategies for integrated, inclusive and sustainable tourism development.
From the results of the research, he received appreciation from various groups, including the examiners. One of the examiners present at the trial was Syamsul Maarif who judged Ibas’s dissertation as perfect.
“First, congratulations PhD student Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono who has produced a very scientific and perfect and very business dissertation. Why do I say perfect? Because the method is very complete, multi-method, everything is there,” he said.
Maarif also said that Ibas was different from most politicians. Because, in general, politicians always take the concept of a political theme.
“This is very scientific, even though promovendus is a politician, but his dissertation is not a political issue. Usually in any major, there is always no political dissertation politician and there is no extensive analysis. This dissertation needs to be appreciated not because of who it is, but its content,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the father, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY .)) sees Ibas’ graduation as a fresh start. According to him, Ibas has thought about a crucial problem in Indonesia.
“For EBY this is a new beginning for you, insyaallah a good beginning. Ibas has thought about very crucial problems in this country, the economy, development investment, tourism, and at the same time providing solutions,” said SBY.
The sixth president of the Republic of Indonesia also conveyed a message through an implied painting. The painting is a picture of the sky at dawn, a new step in a new day.
