The official explained that “Rocky” was the first animal that the Animal Welfare Institute rescued.
“Rocky” is one of the emblematic cases of lBA. We arrived to where the animal was and with a completely deteriorated health condition. He was completely abandoned and could not be stopped,” Hasbun explained, adding that some IBA employees said he should be left in a shelter, mayor’s office or put to sleep, because they saw that he had no chance of surviving.
“With those approaches I began to say that it was not the team that should be in the IBA. “I need a team that stands up with me, that stands up and says, let’s go get those animals and see what can be done to get them ahead,” he insisted.
“Thanks to God and the committed IBA team, we can now say that Rocky has a second chance at life and a place where he has the necessary care,” said Guillermo Hasbun.
