I24NEWS Exclusive: A Meeting Is Scheduled For December 22 Between The Foreign Ministers Of The United States, Israel And Morocco To Celebrate The Tripartite Agreement

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken initiated the meeting

A tripartite meeting is scheduled for December 22 between the American, Israeli and Moroccan foreign ministers to celebrate the first anniversary of the signing of the agreement to normalize diplomatic relations between Israel and Morocco, concluded under the aegis of United States in 2020, reports Friday i24NEWS, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The meeting was initiated by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

A ceremony in the presence of the three ministers was to be organized, but the detection of the Omicron variant closed the air borders between Morocco and Israel, prompting to favor the option of a virtual summit.

A joint communiqué issued on November 22 following the meeting held in Washington by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita, expressed the renewed support of the United States for the autonomy project presented by Morocco in the context of the management of the conflict in the Sahara.

During this meeting, the two men underlined the importance of the tripartite agreement signed between the United States, Morocco and Israel to ensure stability and security in the Middle East.
