Aston Villa manager Unai Emery praised Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez’s performance at the World Cup but said he would discuss his controversial celebration after beating France in the final before the Premier League resumed.

Ed Emery said at a press conference Friday: When you feel very happy, it’s hard to control yourself. I will discuss with him some of the things he did during the victory celebrations.
He added: I respect Martinez and the role he played with his country. After his return, things will be our responsibility and we can talk about some things.
Speaking before facing Liverpool, Emery said he was looking forward to another match against his counterpart, Jurgen Klopp.
The Spanish coach said: They are a difficult team to beat because of their excellent way of playing. But on Boxing Day, I think it will be different. We can beat them if we do our best.
The 51-year-old manager, who set up camp in Dubai before the English Premier League wheel turned again, said he was happy with his squad, but it could include one or more players in the January transfer window.
He said: I’m happy with the performance of the current group of players, but a player can leave us and can be replaced by another to help us.
