Flavia Boghiu, the deputy mayor of Brașov, published harsh video images on Saturday night with a 32-year-old man who hit a girl until he left her unconscious on the street.
The deputy mayor of Brașov says that he chose to publish the images because “such things should terrify as many of us as possible. Otherwise nothing will change. “
The images show a man who, in the middle of a street in Brașov, punches a woman twice in the face. After the second blow, the woman falls unconscious to the ground.
At the end of January, Flavia Boghiu declared: “Because I have Urbanism in charge, I was persecuted, harassed and threatened”. The post on Facebook came after the vice-president of the liberal youth Bogdan Pintilie posted on the social network a photoshopped photo in which Boghiu had a bruised eye.

A 32-year-old man hits a girl in the middle of Brasov. Twice. In a public space, close to the zero point of the city. The second blow leaves her unconscious. I will post the video from the public space, the one that terrified me, being a woman and a man. Please follow him too. Because such things must terrify as many of us as possible. Otherwise nothing will change. Due to the position of public dignity, I will not allow myself to say about the aggressor except that: it is obvious that he has no parents or they have not taken care of his education. His entourage was able to explain to him that by giving in to a woman, you get the measure of all the things that can be measured in a man, and that measure is small, insignificant. From character, intelligence, courage and the virtues for which a man is considered a man. All this is diminished, annulled, when, without being a matter of self-defense in extreme cases, you hit a woman. This specimen of our race is not a man, except because it biologically wears gonads of the opposite sex to us women. His actions show that he is nothing more than an irrational specimen, a danger to society and that he must receive a model punishment for the aggressiveness of his actions. So far I have found out the following: A complaint has been filed with the 1st Police Station. The Local Police made available to the Prosecutor’s Office the video recordings from the cameras. The individual was identified and is in pre-trial detention for 24 hours, at the disposal of this measure by the County Police Inspectorate. The investigations for “hitting or other violence” and “disturbing public order and peace” continue, the case being investigated by the Brașov Court. On this occasion, I would like to remind the people of Brasov, but especially those who come from outside the city, that our city will have implemented this year a project with 1000 cameras, in collaboration with the Local and National Police, mounted in the areas with high traffic density, but also in those with high risk of crime. Any criminal who will commit an aggression, theft, robbery or mischief, something more serious, will be very easily identified, arrested and punished.
