I will not give up. Dusilová, Pavlíček and Koller recorded a song with Ukrainians and Russians

“The new form of the notorious songs Obijmi a Bez boju of the cult Ukrainian rock band Okean Elzy was arranged by the Czech-established producer and musician Igor Ochepovsky,” explained Anna Mašátová on behalf of the creator.

“For Ukrainians, Russians and Belarusians, these are absolutely iconic songs that we all know well. Our nations and lives are united not only by melodies, but also by themes of love, hope, courage and determination. The participating musicians are some of the best artists I know. In addition to the love for music, we are also united by a dissenting attitude to current events, “said Ochepovsky.

He married David Koller, actor and singer Igor Orozovič, singers Monika Načeva and Lenka Dusilová, guitarists Michal Pavlíček and Nikita Krein, accordionists Aliaksander Yasinski and Roman Zabelov, guitarist and balalaika player Kirill Yakovlev, a bassist Natalia Lisniak, cellist Simon Mark, violist Jan Forest, housewife Kateryna Vatchenko and pianist Olesya Ochepovskaya.

“When my wife Alena woke me on Thursday morning with the fact that the war had really started, I was shocked. I immediately wondered what I could do. We sent money to charities, I called all my friends in Ukraine and Russia, to see if I could help at the border. However, I am a musician, I speak to people through music. So Alena and I went into action and arranged everything in two days. The participants canceled their original plans to support the project, for which they deserve a big thank you, “added Ochepovsky.

“The sounds of distant explosions land on our souls. I am glad that I can at least yell at the guitar and send this message to Putin that we will not tolerate murder and hatred, and that we want to help Ukraine. Music attacks emotions, and that can mobilize and elevate us, ”concluded Michal Pavlíček.
