I weighed myself four times a night. Moderator Čestmír Strakatý admits a duel with his body

“I always needed to have my weight under control,” says Čestmír Strakatý. The moderator, who conducts interviews exclusively in a black shirt with folded cuffs, from which he peeks out an abstract tattoo, looks confident at work and pays for the sex symbol for many people. Therefore, few would have thought that he was the one fighting his body. Čestmír is the main character in the first part of Lukáš Houdek Hrana’s podcast series, which is about male uncertainties connected with the points of the imagia.

“I didn’t like my body most of my life. And in fact, it is so now. There are probably people who can look at themselves in the mirror positively or without emotion. I can’t do it without being at least partially disgusted, “admits Čestmír. In the first part of the Hrana series, documentary filmmaker Lukáš Houdek reveals what is behind Čestmír’s dissatisfaction. And how the uncertainties associated with his own body affect his relationship with his wife Hana or social and professional life.

It will feel thicker than it really is, “he explains.
