Julian Bugier, 39, will take the reins of the 13 Hours of France 2 on January 4. He succeeds Marie-Sophie Lacarrau, who will replace Jean-Pierre Pernaut on TF1. This autodidact, fan of Yves Mourousi, details the main lines of a newscast that he wants in part to reform. Two priority areas: interactivity with the public and the territories.
From January 4, you will present the 1 p.m. newspaper of France 2, where you succeed Marie-Sophie Lacarrau. What are you going to change?
I am not going to overturn the table of a newspaper to which a loyal public is very attached. In particular on the part which deals with current events. For example, with the team, we are going to enrich it with an offer focused even more on the territories: the new 13 Hours will be more marked, more covered. I want people to look at it like turning the pages of a magazine. The second part will be divided into three sequences on three pillars of the daily life of the French: proximity / heritage, health and consumption. Above all, we want to strengthen interactivity with the public. Because I am convinced that the change will come from the citizens and the territories.
Is it the journalist who grew up in Blois speaking?
Yes, this is my story. I could see how many people there are rolling up their sleeves to do things. It is not a question of being blessed-yes-yes but to tell about France which moves. And what better showcase than to offer them a small part of our day …
