‘I want to stay here forever’ – Rayototal

Andy Robertson has played down rumors of a Celtic move by saying he wants to stay in Liverpool ‘forever’.

The 27-year-old Scottish international has been a Celtic fan since his youth and previously revealed his dream of playing for the 51-time national champion.

But the left-back has now promised his future Liverpool saying he “would like to retire” at Anfield.

Pochettino’s return to Spurs sounds crazy, but it makes sense

Speaking of a possible Celtic change, Robertson told the Scottish source PLZ Soccer: “I often get this question.

“Look, my goal is to finish in Liverpool, and I would very much like to finish in Liverpool, but I know how difficult it is to continue playing at the highest level. The time will come to make that decision.

“At the moment I still have a good duration of my contract, I want to stay here forever and I hope to retire here, but you know if I continue and I feel fit and healthy, but when you are in your 30s, but I would love to retire from this club. «

Robertson has been a brilliant player for the Reds since joining £ 8 million in 2017. He has become an all-round player under Jurgen Klopp, leading Liverpool to win both the Premier League and the Champions League.

The club’s most recent performance was third in the league, despite the injuries of many key players.

One of those who has been on the sidelines is Jordan Henderson. The midfielder is on track to recover and was included in Gareth Southgate’s 33-man preliminary roster for the European Championship.

Robertson called Henderson his strongest potential opponent in the competition: “It’s… [Jordan] Henderson for me sadly.

“My captain, you know, he can get pretty mad on the field when I’m on his team, so I hope he doesn’t get mad at me when he’s on the other team.

“They [England] they are full of quality. Of course I know Hendo and I know Trent [Alexander-Arnold]”Hopefully I’m on the team, and I know them well and personally, so I know how good they are.”

Robertson is expected to be Scotland’s captain when they face the Czech Republic in their first group match on June 14.

They will face the Three Lions on June 18 at 8 p.m.
