I thought deaf and mute neighbors were perfect, but I was so wrong

Many, probably like me, thought deaf-mute neighbors were ideal. Silence from them, no complaints about you because of the noise.

But in reality, everything turned out to be completely different. They have their own problems, which are very difficult to solve, because people who do not encounter noise do not understand what they want from them.

My neighbors on the left are just a couple of deaf-mute elderly people, with whom we haven’t been able to find a common language for six months now. We have completely different triggers.

The fact that the neighbors are deaf and dumb, I learned from the owner of the apartment. He presented it as an advantage and I agreed with her at first.

It’s great that the neighbors do not yell and listen to the TV loudly, both deaf and elderly. But very quickly I realized how wrong I was.

The neighbors are renovating. Since the noise didn’t bother them, I first had to explain to them that even if they don’t use a hole punch, but a hammer, it’s still noisy.

When they were collecting furniture late in the evening, something was constantly falling and moving with a terrible rattling noise, which annoyed me, but didn’t bother them.

She came up to them and explained that they were loud and was met with puzzled looks. The first two times baffled, and then hostile.

You still have to reach them. To do this, I had to take their phone number and call until they deigned to come up.

We agreed that if I call them then they are out the door. If anything, I write. But they read messages very rarely, so it was easier to call.

And recently we had a new misfortune. They set the alarm, apparently they pressed something wrong, so in addition to the vibration, the sound also turned on.

And the sound was maximally distorted, there was a vile standard melody. I nearly rolled out of bed when their alarm clock started blaring.

This went on for three days then I was able to get through to them and turn off the alarm sound. Either they didn’t figure it out themselves, or they just didn’t care, I don’t know.

In general, their behavior is now very annoying, because it seems to me that they are deliberately making noise. They can’t help but understand, because they are not small children.

And they have a claim on me that I listen to music, and they have a vibration on the wall and floor from that, which annoys them. Although I don’t distort the bass to the fullest, but sometimes I want to.

In general, deaf-mute neighbors have their own problems and difficulties. The only difference is that these people don’t yell at you, they just look at you.
