“I think tennis has always been an elegant sport”

Roger Federer is more ready than ever to compete at the highest level, despite having gotten older and restored to athletic condition after surgery due to knee injury in 2020. The Swiss champion recently relaunched his ambitions and made it clear that one of his big goals for 2021 will be to win the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The Olympic gold medal is indeed one of the few laurels that is still missing in the already extraordinary career of the Swiss champion. In 2012 Federer almost won, but was beaten by Andy Murray in the final in London.

It looks like Indian Wells may be canceled for the second year in a row in 2021. It was the first major tennis tournament to be canceled in March 2020 as more COVID-19 cases occurred worldwide.

The 2021 edition was scheduled for March 8-21, but now an ATP 250 tournament is scheduled for March 8-14. The Open 13, an ATP 250 tournament in Marseille, France, has the preliminary dates for their tournament from Aug.
