Kevin De Bruyne Don’t celebrate goals too much when Belgium beat Denmark. He didn’t want to celebrate a goal that hurt the hosts and Christian Eriksen.
Denmark vs Belgium was presented on the second matchday of Group B Euro 2020 at Parken Stadium, Thursday (17/6/2021) night WIB, the host was already leading 1-0 in the second minute through Yussuf Poulsen’s goal. The score lasted until halftime.
Belgium, who only had one chance in the first half, made a change. Kevin De Bruyne came on early in the second half to replace Dries Mertens.
De Bruyne was then able to create an assist for Thorgan Hazard’s goal in the 55th minute. The Manchester City midfielder then brought Belgium to a 2-1 win after scoring a goal through Eden Hazard’s assist.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder celebrated a goal by stretching his arms. Then he gave a code to calm all his colleagues when they set foot in the area of the field where Eriksen collapsed against Finland.
“Of course I’m happy, but I have a lot of respect for the people here. I went to the part of the pitch where Eriksen fainted on Saturday and I tried to stay calm,” De Bruyne was quoted as saying by UEFA’s official website.
Before the kick-off of the match, Belgium gave a jersey with the signatures of the players and neatly framed. There was also written a hope that Eriksen would get better soon.
Eriksen’s opportunity to return to strengthen Denmark at Euro 2020 is closed. Inter Milan’s players are also doubtful can graze again.
