I strongly dislike “Snapchat rules”

Ingeborg Walther, known from programs such as The Voice, Stjernekamp and Maskorama, released the personal song “Ikke bli som meg” on Friday.

– It’s really about the fact that when you’re in a breakup, or break up a relationship, it’s so typical to blame yourself, and think: “What is wrong with me?” says Walther when she hosts Good evening Norway.

Distance relationship

After being in a relationship for a long time, it came to an end for the Eastfolding and his girlfriend in November. The 24-year-old says that in such periods of her life she can overthink a lot.

– It is very typical of me, when something comes to an end, to go very deep into myself. I can sit and create lots of scenarios in my head, sometimes I just have to stop myself. I’m not very good at thinking rationally, she admits.

The relationship was a long-distance relationship that lasted over four and a half years, and Walther thinks they should be praised for enduring the distance for so long.

– But it became difficult, and in the end we were not the same as we were when we met as eighteen-year-olds. But I have so much respect for him, and look back on it as a great period of my life. But now I feel that I have to go on alone, smiles the artist.

Tinder didn’t work

Now she lives the single life in Oslo, with all that it has to offer.

– You feel very free. I feel like I’m living the “Oslo-girl” life. Nobody sends a message and asks where I am, and I can do what I want, says Walther, adding that it also has negative sides.

– It’s nice to be free, but at the same time it’s a bit sad to go home without anyone there. We facetimed every evening, but now I guess I can only use friends.

She tried Tinder, but quickly found out that it’s not for her.

– It was not a success for me, that is. I think there’s a lot of weirdness in there. My dream is to meet someone in reality, one summer on a roof, she laughs.

Is a “double snapper”

Much of today’s checking takes place over social media, and Snapchat is a popular place to start communication. But here too there are unwritten rules, which Walther has grown tired of.

– You have to get a snap, then some time has to pass, then you have to answer. A little back and forth. But I’m impatient so I can send another snap, in case he didn’t see the first one, so I double-snap, she laughs.

This is clearly not okay according to the social code on Snap, where you have to play expensive.

– I can’t stand that game, I think it’s stupid. Can’t you just say it like it is, to show interest if you are interested, instead of playing that game. I feel finished, and think we should have a revolution!

She herself tried to wait to answer, but that was easier said than done.

– Then I had to have timers on my mobile phone. 30 minutes. To not open it right away, laughs Walther.

Has with Ramón and Astrid S

On the song “Ikke bli som meg”, Walther has brought in a bit of a star team, because Ramón has helped write the lyrics, and Astrid S sings on vocals. The latter happened quite by accident.

– The producer plays the keyboard for Astrid. So he was on tour with her and working parallely on this song. We were missing something, and he heard if Astrid wanted to come and add some bright notes. She has an angelic voice, so that was it so fine. If you listen carefully, you will hear her bright vocals. Quite handsome, smiles Walther.

She knows the artist Ramón Torres Andresen, who she believes is the best songwriter in Norway, from “way back”.

– Both were in Putti Plutti Plott in 2008. I was madly in love with him, he was a real charmer. And he has said that he was in love with me and, laughs Walther.

She thinks it’s sick to think that they were in Spektrum as eight-year-olds, and there too there was a young star team,

– William Gamborg and Julie Bergan were also there. It’s absolutely crazy to think about. She was a reindeer, I was also a Santa. It’s like a fever dream.

In the summer, there will be a whole EP with songs from Walther, which is about the relationship she was in.

– Being in a distance relationship, and the whole process of being uncertain and changing. From not wanting the other to find someone new, to feeling that it’s okay to find someone new and treat each other to it. It will be nice to listen to the whole collection, smiles Walther.
