Although the Czech basketball player Tomáš Satoranský did not score in the NBA on Wednesday, he was still one of the best players in Washington in the 127: 110 victory over Orlando.
The national team quarterback recorded his first double double of the season with 10 rebounds and 13 assists. He thus lagged behind his maximum in the overseas competition by only one assistance. The second Czech, Vít Krejčí, was also present in the Oklahoma basic line-up, playing his record 35 minutes in a 118-136 defeat with Atlanta, scoring 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
Although Washington is basically without a chance to play off, he has won the third of four matches since Satoransky was included in the starting lineup. The Czech quarterback fired only twice in 27 minutes, unsuccessfully, but he was very useful for his team. It all started with a very good defense, then found great teammates in the attack, especially Ruie Hačimuru, who gave six of the seven baskets after Satoransky’s passes, and Kristaps Porzingis, with 35 points as the match’s top scorer.
“For the first time, I saw that someone had a double without a point, but Sato played really well. Thanks to him, the team moved the ball well and we created open shots,” said Porzingis.

So far, Satoransky had a double-digit number of rebounds and assists in one match only in January 2019 Milwaukee, when he registered his only triple double career. His double without a single point is unique in the NBA. He became only the third player in history to reach him. Josh Giddey of Oklahoma City and Norm Van Lier in 1971 did so this season.
“I tried to be aggressive in the basket, but every time I wanted to drive, the opportunity arose to find teammates. That’s how I took advantage of it. It came naturally,” Satoransky said. “The main victory for Satoransky is that when we need it, he tries to score, but most of all he tries to organize our game. And he’s important in defense because of his skills and his height. He has really great moments,” said Wizards coach Wes Unseld Jr.
This time the tailor struggled with shooting and gave only one three out of ten shots. However, his activity called for fouls and turned all six free throws. He spent the most minutes on the field from the whole team. In the end, he at least helped reduce the loss by up to 34 points. Atlanta was drawn by 41 Trae Young points.
Dallas gained the playoffs, winning 120: 112 over Cleveland. The main credit for that went to Luka Dončič, who scored 35 points and 13 assists. The Warriors even finished third in the Western Conference ahead of Golden State. The Warriors lost 103: 107 to the competition leader in Phoenix, not even 38 points from Jordan Pool.
Denver also approached the elimination fights, which, thanks to 37 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists of Nikola Jokič, won 125: 118 over Indiana. The Nuggets are in fifth place ahead of Utah and are seven winners in Minnesota.
The Timberwolves lost to Toronto 102: 125. Pascal Siakam took care of this with his second triple double career, collecting 12 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists for the Raptors. Toronto thus consolidated the sixth place in the Eastern Conference ahead of Cleveland in the difference of two wins.
Miami won 106:98 over Boston in the battle for first place in the balanced Eastern Conference, and thus has a two-win lead over it.
