Regarding 2023, he expressed that “in particular it was a very mobilizing year”, taking into account that it was “an electoral year where after 20 years I once again contested an internal election to be mayor of my city. I gave it my all, I fulfilled the commitments I made, I remained firm to my convictions, we walked house to house listening and talking to the neighbors, I went ahead with proposals and said what I believed needed to be done.”
However, he recalled that “I lost the internal election by 12 votes against a strong municipal structure and unequal conditions, but I did not complain and I do not complain, because I believe that I gained confidence, I gained militancy, I managed to light the flame of hope in many Concordians who know that they deserve a better city with another way of governing.”
“I played as always in my life without half measures and in the face of society. Now they know me more personally and know what I think, how I act and how I build politically. “My commitment to my city, to my province and to Peronism is unconditional and intact,” he noted.
From now on, he mentioned that “new times are coming, of reconfiguration within Peronism. The people are not wrong, it will now depend on the entire political leadership and the entire political arc to know how to interpret it and rise to the occasion.”
Finally, he announced that “for my part I am leaving my work as president of the Chamber of Deputies and returning to the exercise of my profession as a lawyer and I have yet to finish the postgraduate degree in Constitutional Law, I have 2 subjects left and the thesis, since I have 6 subjects approved ”-
“I believe in politics as a tool for transforming reality and I will continue working from wherever I am so that we can live better,” he concluded.
