Last weekend Roger Guillaumin completed the Marathon of the Maritime Alps, between Nice and Cannes. This 66-year-old from Isère will line up this Saturday morning in Place de Gaulle in Gueugnon, at the start of the Charolais marathon. Nothing could be more normal for this runner who, by himself, almost reduces the marathon undertaking to the rank of banality. “I have been running between 20 and 30 marathons a year for 11 years. I’ve already done Gueugnon 6 or 7 times, ”he says, of course.
