Prosecutor: His nose was bloody, he swallowed his tongue

fromsentenced to 6 months probation for moderate personal injury in an accident,
was arrested for the death of the taxi driver, 34-year-old Hristo Yordanov. The two fought for precedence on Saturday at 6:30 pm in the Rassadnika district of the capital.
“It’s not just a slap, because Yordanov had a nosebleed and swallowed his tongue twice,” supervising prosecutor Iliyan Tarchev objected Tuesday. At that moment the lawsuit for the determination of the precautionary custody order for Yosif Izze was heard. Although accused of causing personal injury resulting in death, he was guarded by 7 court guards. The young man wore a black jumpsuit and with the current haircut: a very short haircut at the bottom and longer at the top. He has Bulgarian identity documents.
“So far, it has been established that the two first exchanged remarks, then punches,” prosecutor Tarchev said in his memoir. At one point Hristo Yordanov called his brother on the phone, who arrived shortly after with two other men. The taxi driver lived nearby, in the “Faculty” district. Yosif Izze’s girlfriend, who was actually driving the car and the hairdresser was traveling with her, called 112.
The exchange of blows stopped for a while, the two men went to their cars, but then the fight started again.
17 witnesses were questioned in the case. However, their testimonies are contradictory: some have indicated that Joseph Izze started, others have claimed otherwise.
“It has been established without a doubt that there have been shots,” prosecutor Tarchev said. In his opinion
there is a causal relationship between painting and death

However, the dead taxi driver had cardiovascular failure. This was found in the autopsy. The doctors’ conclusion will probably be ready within a week. So the cause of death cannot be said with certainty. Izze also suffered injuries, for which he was certified.

His two lawyers have asked for his release from custody. One reason was her young age and the fact that the case had not yet been resolved due to conflicting witness statements. According to them, the safety of the young man and his family was threatened. Defenders complained that they could not familiarize themselves with the materials.
To this answer, Judge Alexandra Yordanova, who is hearing the case, objected that she was available.
He left Joseph Izze in custody. But in the reasons he commented that the investigation should also examine the actions in the situation of inevitable defense.
What prevailed in her decision was that Izze was sentenced after a plea deal to 6 months’ probation for causing moderate physical injury to a woman in an accident. The fight in the “Nursery” took place during his 3-year probationary period. According to the judge, her young age cannot be a reason for her release.
The decision is not final. It can be appealed. Then the case will be heard on October 20.
