The English Football Association (FA) has confirmed that Gareth Southgate will remain in charge of the England national team until Euro 2024.
The 52-year-old coach led the Roaring Lions short of their dream squad in the 2022 World Cup when they were knocked out in the quarter-finals losing 1-2 to France.
However, he remains mandated by the FA to continue his role as boss of the Three Lions. Until the European Championships in the next 2 years
“We are delighted to confirm that Gareth Southgate will continue as England manager. and he will lead our Euro 2024 squad”.
“Gareth and Steve Holland (assistant coach) will always be fully supported. Our preparation plans for the Euros have already started.”
Southgate has been England manager since 2016, leading the team to 4th place at the 2018 World Cup, followed by runners-up at Euro 2020 and being knocked out in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup.
