Middle-aged male members of a local livestock farming cooperative in Gyeonggi-do were spotted hanging out with female employees at an entertainment bar in Southeast Asia.

According to an MBC report on the 16th, two tour buses arrived at the parking lot of an entertainment bar in Pattaya, a famous resort city in Thailand, last June, and middle-aged Korean men lined up and got off.

The bus that arrived at the entertainment bar at a time when the sun had not yet set had a sign for the Gyeonggi-do Regional Livestock Agricultural Cooperative hanging on the window.

In the hallway of the bar, young women in short skirts were lined up as if they were waiting. A few hours later, as it got dark, some men who left the bar boarded a van other than the bus they had come on.

The place where they got off was a nearby building that appeared to be a lodging business, and they each took the elevator up with their partner.

It was confirmed that those who visited foreign entertainment districts in groups were members of a local livestock cooperative in Gyeonggi Province. The reason why 120 delegates and employees, including ‘Car 2’ and ‘Car 3’, went on a group outing abroad for 5 days and 3 nights was because of official training. While conducting overseas training, some participants were seen visiting an entertainment bar using the training bus.

An official from the livestock cooperative said, “We do not impose significant sanctions after the official schedule. Instead, (employees ask union members) ‘Please follow these rules,'” and explained that it was a deviation of some participants who completed the official schedule that day.

At the same time, they showed reporters the schedule of the day they went to the bar. Looking at the itinerary, it was no different from a package tour course, including ‘Golden Cliff Tour’, ‘Elephant Trekking’, ‘Tropical Theme Park’, and ‘Aquarium Visit’. Among them, ’60 minutes of traditional massage to relieve travel fatigue’ was highlighted in red.

The media requested to see schedules for other dates, but the Korea Livestock Association refused.

Overseas training is conducted once every two years, and the local livestock cooperative’s budget of about 100 million won is invested. It is called a ‘first half operating public meeting’ to visit overseas livestock farms and traditional markets, but it is said that they did not go to such places this year.

An official explained, “I understand that (the visit to the livestock farm site) was planned but could not proceed due to some infectious disease issues. (The mayor) saw it in passing.” At the same time, he added that there are no plans to conduct a fact-finding investigation as the training costs were not spent on visiting entertainment bars.
