Daryl Janmaat hopes to find a new club soon, but the search does not happen overnight. He reveals at Peptalk on Ziggo Sport that he is in talks with a number of clubs.
34-time Orange international Janmaat (31) is without a club after his departure from Watford and can therefore be picked up for free. He is not yet fit for competition, Janmaat is recovering from a knee injury.
“I am at the end of my rehabilitation and actually do everything on the field again. I am talking to a number of clubs to train with and I am waiting for a nice club”, says Janmaat. “I’m not in a hurry, I want to orient myself well. I know that, certainly for any Dutch club, I can be an added value and possibly also further.”
He would like to play close to home. “I am now with my family and I think it would be great to play near home, but then there should also be an option. Something I really want. There are not many clubs in the Netherlands where I go myself. want, I am critical. “
TV presenter and program maker Frank Evenblij is an ardent Willem ll supporter and asks Janmaat if he has already been called by the Tilburg club. “I know Joris (Mathijsen, ed.) Well, I think he is a very nice guy. I just haven’t heard him yet, that disappoints me a bit”, he says with a wink.
