Linda de Mol denies that she had known for years about the sexual misconduct of her ex-lover Jeroen Rietbergen. He lies about that, she says through her right hand Jildou van der Bijl.
Jeroen said in the statement he made (before he went to rehab) that Linda had known about his condition for years. He was addressed by his boss “I then with great shame informed my wife.”
Lies, says Jildou at Op1 on behalf of Linda. According to Linda, Jeroen confessed to some extramarital activities, but it was never clear to her that there was abuse of power and sexually transgressive behaviour. “Jeroen has clearly not known everything. The truth is not in that statement and that is very damaging because it makes it seem as if things were known that were not known at all.”
“He confessed to her about… He has cheated on me, I believe that was app traffic, but I also want to leave that to Linda. They had relationship problems and he confessed to cheating. Linda thought it was by mutual consent.”
Linda did not know that Jeroen behaved inappropriately with all girls from The Voice, according to Jildou. “She never thought or knew that all this happened on The Voice and that people have not felt comfortable with it and that it is, in fact, serious cross-border behaviour. She didn’t know all that, no.”
If Linda really didn’t know anything about Jeroen’s misconduct at The Voice, it also means that John de Mol has not told Linda that he has reprimanded Jeroen. And yesterday it turned out that Linda in turn didn’t tell John anything about the sexual misconduct of Ali B.
Linda is not well. “It’s not going well. You might understand that if you were extremely happy with someone for two and a half weeks, didn’t realize anything and then find out day after day that he has done something terrible, has lived with lies and destroyed a lot and maybe even is sick.”
