“I haven’t slept at all”: ESC third Gjon’s Tears is back in Switzerland

After the successful appearance on Saturday at the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, Gjon’s Tears has already landed back in Zurich.

Gjon’s Tears returned to Switzerland from Rotterdam on Sunday afternoon. The 22-year-old from Freiburg took third place in the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday behind Italy and France.

Tired but happy, he answered questions from waiting journalists after a short night at Zurich Airport. He has not really realized it yet, the singer tells the keystone-sda agency. It was a very intense time.

The end result came late and after that there were lots of interviews for the third-placed – and of course there was also a party. “While celebrating, I wanted to get to know the other participants.” There was no time left for a night’s sleep. “I haven’t slept at all,” he reveals. (ldu)

Starting number 26: Senhit from San Marino with “Adrenalina”.
