The idea of a Genoese comedian: a series of memes that mimic the initiative of the Region, because “politics must begin to take its responsibilities”

Genoa – From “I have a sore throat, but I’m going to visit my grandmother anyway” a “I proposed to put asymptomatic Covid patients in RSA”, from “Oh well, it’s a little party with friends …” to “I haven’t upgraded public transport to avoid crowds”: in one case or another, the answers are always “But are you nescio?” (“You are stupid”, in Genoese) or “Are you abelinated?” (ditto), but one case and the other have different origins.
On the one hand there is the beautiful countryside of the Liguria Region to sensitize people (especially the youngest) to respect the rules on mask, spacing and hygiene personnel in this second phase of the coronavirus emergency, made up of posts on social networks and even billboards in the streets. On the other hand there is the fun initiative of the Genoese comedian Roberta Pacini, who took inspiration from the campaign to create some images which he then shared on Facebook.

“I’m tired of hearing only citizens blame for this situation: politics must begin to take responsibility”, she told us during a short chat (from a distance, obviously). Yes, because Pacini’s satire is centered precisely on this, on “I have not hired new health personnel”, on “I have not strengthened basic medicine”, on Boat Show organized at the beginning of the second wave and on the 800 thousand euros spent on the hospital ship that has now abandoned Genoa. About what would be the errors of local and national politics in the management of this situation, in short.
“It all started from the post of a friend who talked about these signs seen around – said Pacini – I searched the web for the campaign and… the light bulb went on. I’m not a professional graphic designer, but I use Photoshop for my work every day, so it was easy to get hold of the original images, after finding them ».
Online, the reaction has been exciting: in less than 4 hours, his post has collected almost 100 shares and especially dozens and dozens of comments of people who started to suggest other phrases, such as “I didn’t make enough tampons because I was too busy eating trofie with pesto” or “I challenged the old in Liguria”… That you are there, in fact.
