Brilliant or super disgusting?
Bathing, showering, washing your hair: children have to do all of this too. Not as often as adults, but several times a week. A mother has now explained on TikTok that she sees things differently: she has never washed her two-year-old daughter’s hair! And you actually can’t tell from looking at the child.
No shampoo can get on these children’s hair
Anyone who is disgusted by the idea of extremely greasy hair full of leftover food can breathe a sigh of relief: the TikToker, who can be found on the platform under the name “Cat Rescue Casa Oro”, does wash her daughter’s hair, but she does She completely avoids shampoo.
Instead, she occasionally applies argan oil to the child’s hair and a hair mask once a week or every two weeks. The alleged result of her beauty routine: Long, thick hair without tangles and it supposedly never gets greasy!
And the two-year-old actually has long, shiny hair that doesn’t look greasy, as a video on TikTok shows. The post has already been clicked on 600,000 times. The reactions underneath? Mixed. While some people can’t believe that their daughter’s hair is supposedly clean, others confirm that they have been without shampoo for their children for a long time.

This is how often you should wash your children’s hair
Especially in the first weeks of babies’ lives, shampoo or shower gel is not necessary, explains dermatologist Dr. Kerstin Lau at Öko-Test. Since pure water is best for bathing babies in the early days, it is also sufficient for washing their hair. “Depending on how much hair the infants already have, you can start caring for them with a mild baby shampoo after four to six months,” she advises.
According to dermatologist Dr. Uwe Kirschner, however, is not ideal either, as he reveals on his website. The reason: Water alone dries out the skin. It is better to use a mild bath additive. Lau recommends a few drops of oil in the bath water as an alternative.

In general, it is sufficient to bathe babies a maximum of three times a week and to wash individual parts of the body such as the face, neck, genitals and bottom every day. Younger children’s hair should be washed once or twice a week unless it is very dirty or has been in a swimming pool, lake or ocean. (acres)
