“I have never received a lion from anyone in my life and this can be said by anyone and even those who have benefited from these transports. 99% of them think that they have never seen me in person except on TV.
(…) This time, Mr. Catalin Tolontan makes a a very serious accusation that he will never be able to prove, neither before God, nor before the state courts – that I have ever in my life taken any money from a patient to be transported in the country or abroad.
Is a very serious and unforgivable accusation, which everyone who knows me will not approve. Everyone knows that I am one of the people who cares about patients and who strongly condemns any kind of material benefit obtained unduly from patients “, the doctor stated, at Digi24.
Investigations after investigations at the Ambulance
Alis Grasu specified that an investigation will be made together with the Ministry of Health and the Department for Emergency Situations in order to clarify which documents were the basis of each of the transports of patients made abroad.
“We will make an investigation, to clarify each of these transports what documents are behind it, exactly who requested it, when it was requested and we will do an investigation together with the Ministry of Health, with the Department for Emergency Situations, because I know that each transport was a well-justified medical case, “Grasu said.
The ambulance manager specified that a number of 15 transports with patients have been made in the last four years abroad and abroad with service ambulances, and all these were serious cases.
“We are talking about 15 such requests during the last 4 years. All were serious, very serious cases or that required assisted transport for repatriation. There are only a few cases that were for treatment and always with the consent of the Ministry of Health and the Department for Emergency situations, the rest or the vast majority were repatriations of people who were in treatment abroad and were in a very serious condition, who suffered accidents abroad or who suffered acute illnesses as a result of which they could not return to country and had to be repatriated.
The transports in the largest proportion, of 90%, come either from the MFA to the MoH and from the MoH to us, and in the last years there is a legislative provision by which DSU approves any such transport.
After receiving the request to the Ambulance Service, it is sent for DSU approval. (…) When the requests with diagnosis, with the request for repatriation or transport, with the approvals from the MFA and then from the MIA, from DSU, reach us, we do not analyze the material condition of the respective person. I’m totally amazed at what you’re telling me, I never know about this, nor the social position of these people“, said the doctor.
Alis Grasu specified that no rescue, no ambulance can leave the Romanian territory without authorization and without all the necessary road documents.
“I don’t think there are cases like Mr. Tolontan says because five of them I remember were children with a very precarious financial situation, an athlete who died, who went to Szeged and who had a very difficult situation, a monk which I brought from Thessaloniki and the road costs were borne by Mr. Becali “, Alis Grasu also stated.
We remind you that several doctors and ambulance drivers in Bucharest claim that there are cases in which certain people with influence are transported with rescue abroad, without being urgent or social cases, and this is illegal.
The accusations were published by journalist Catalin Tolontan on his website.
At the same time, at the Bucharest-Ilfov Ambulance Service, several investigations are being carried out into the manner in which Ioan Gyuri Pascu died on the night of his death.
