After two seasons, Maroš Krajči ends up as the general manager of the extra-league hockey club HC Slovan Bratislava.
The 54-year-old official returned to the post in the summer of 2020 after the new owners joined the team, having previously worked for Slovan from 2000 to 2017. The official “white” website informs about it.
“I have fulfilled my mission. Slovan won the coveted title in his jubilee centenary season, which was our main goal. Now we need to give someone else a chance. I have had a very good relationship with the current owners for the last two years. I will always stay with them as a lifelong fan of Slovan Grateful that two years ago the club was rescued in a difficult situation, financially stabilized and directed towards the current success, “ said Maroš Krajči, who was also GM Slovana in the titles in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2012.
Krajči will be replaced by a new sports director, and the club, together with the addition of the implementation team and the publication of the first reinforcements, plans to present him at a press conference shortly after the end of the World Cup in Finland.
“However, this does not mean that we will wait with our hands folded until then. The management and the implementation team have been collecting and contacting players for several weeks, which we believe will be a suitable addition to our team and fit into our system. , “ said Pavol Hofstädter, a member of the board and one of the club’s shareholders.
In the 2021/2022 season, Slovan Bratislava dominated the basic part of the hockey extra league and eliminated teams from Prešov, Košice and HK Nitra in the finals on the way to the title.
