“There are many. Marek’s name will forever evoke professionalism. The paradox is that he has only achieved one title in his career, right now with Trabzonspor. Personally, I’m very glad he got it. He is a player who has always been able to work properly with emotions on the field and always pull down the team with his performance, which is very important. He always transferred his high performance from the club to the national team. When he arrived, he was able to help the representation. ”
How did your communication with him develop?
“The first time he suggested anything to me was during our February interview. The decision took a long time in Marek. I suggested to him that we do not end anything yet and wait for the situation to develop. I understand Marek’s argument, but I believe that he is a player who could still help us sports. Matches in the group of the Champions League or the European League are waiting for him. We don’t have that many. It is up to me personally to thank him. He is one of the biggest players Slovakia has ever had. ”
Can you tell us when Marek informed you of his final decision?

“We have to go through this within the implementation team. I have an opinion on who the captain should be, but I will not present him here. The team needs to find new leaders. Who do you expect to replace Marek Hamšík as the leader in the cabin and who should raise the flag on his field?

“Dominik is currently in optimal shape, which he acquired in the goal of Trnava. He is ready and awakened. As for Juraj Chvátal, we are looking for an alternative to the post of right defender. I was already thinking about his nomination in March. In the end, I opted for Boris Sekulič. Chvátal gives very good performances in Olomouc, he even plays from both sides, which gives us different options. I believe that in Juraj we can find a player who meets our criteria and will be beneficial for the national team. ”
Is it possible that some players from Menoslov will still drop out due to their program, as Peter Pekarík, for example, played a playoff match yesterday and league duels are just waiting for Matúš Ber or Albert Rusnák?
“That’s why we nominated a wider staff and organized a training camp from Wednesday. We can still respond to the new situation. I believe that all three mentions will come in good health and well-adjusted. ”
Despite the victory over Sampdoria (3: 0) in the last round of Serie A, Milan Škriniar has no longer been able to defend the title with Inter Milan. How did you perceive it?
“Inter no longer had it in his own hands. Such matches are very difficult. Milan works in a big club and we can be happy to have a player who has the position he has in such a strong team. Although he did not win the title, he rejoiced in the cup and Super Cup this season. Marek Rodák and Fulham won the second English league, Ľubomír Šatka became the champion of Poland with Lech, and Róbert Mak is the Hungarian champion with Ferencváros. Albert Rusnák again experienced a victory with Seattle in the Champions League in the CONCACAF zone.
I am also pleased with the triumph of Vladimír Weiss Jr. and Vernon De Marc in our league competition. And last but not least, I am glad that Marek Hamšík experienced the celebrations of the Turkish championship, even though he has already finished in the national team. Players such as Stanislav Lobotka, Slavists Ivan Schranz and Jakub Hromada and Matúš Bero have fought for, or are still fighting for, the top positions this year. I am glad that what seemed impossible in Italy half a year ago due to a big shortfall on the opponents has finally become possible. Noro made a significant contribution to this. Believe that rescue matches can be even more mentally demanding than those at the top. Especially in Italy, where the league is very even. I look forward to working with him. ”
Róbert Mak is only in the broader nomination. Is it a consequence of his health condition or lower wrestling workload?
“Robo is healthy. He has closed his work in Ferencváros and is looking for a new job. However, he does not have adequate match practice in the last six months. Believe me, I was thinking about him. I was inclined to think that he should be part of the team, because he passed on a lot to the national team and he has experience that we can use. In the end, however, I decided on players with a higher workload. ”
Is David Sagittarius absent for the same reasons?
“Basically similar. In his case, he was also serious about the fact that the twenty-one team will have a very important qualification match in Malta, in which it can help. ”
According to FIFA renking, we will have lower performance competitors. What ideas will you confront with?
“We have opponents mapped, we have been tracking them since February. Tough matches affected by logistics and long moves await us. We have never played four meetings in ten days. I believe that we can use our experience in the implementation team to prepare players well for each duel. It will be challenging, but we are on our way to the B-Division of the League of Nations. I am convinced that we will show it on the field. ”
