Only once since Kåre Ingebrigtsen became coach in Brann, the club has won a match. It was the away match against Stabæk, who almost had revenge in windy and soaked Bergen tonight.
– We look at the table, and can not help but focus on ourselves. We also see that we need to start winning football matches. We have too high shoulders no. We need to find peace and work better together.
– I had hoped we had come further than we are now. Now it’s not about playing fancy football, it’s about getting points, Ingebrigtsen told NRK after the match.
– Brann had its periods, but it was Stabæk who was closest, says commentator Tor Ole Skullerud in Eurosport.
The first half was poor chance, but Fredrik Haugen hit the crossbar with a long shot.
Stabæk took the lead by Oliver Edvardsen’s goal just over a quarter of an hour after the break. Then they had a good grip on the match, and could decide the whole thing.
The equalizer came after a corner. Daouda Bamba delivered to Kristoffer Barmen, who headed in the equalizer. It gave a necessary point.
Barmen was also with Brann in 2014 when it was relegated. He does not think the table situation today affects the squad so much.
– Everyone in the wardrobe has great faith that this will go well.
Brann is number 13 in the elite series, just above the qualifying place.
