I had a falling out with Chakochan after that film: Laljos
Laljos made his directorial debut with Oru Maravathur Kanav. Laljos was able to become one of the leading directors in Malayalam by giving successful films in a short span of time. Now he is also active in acting.
Laljos has said in several interviews that actor Kunchacko Boban walked out of the movie ‘Classmates’ at the last minute. Laljos says that he had fallen out with Kunchako Boban after his classmates and later on a trip he tells Chakochan about the movie Elsamma Boy. He also said that Kunhacko Boban said okay as soon as he heard about Palunni’s role in the film.
“I had a small dispute with Chakochan when my classmates passed. Because Pulli pulled out of his classmates at the last minute.
Benny.P. Nayarambalam and Sabu Cherian, a producer, had taken the Velankanni tour. Chakochan and Priya were there. They were all friends. Chakochan is gone from the film at that time.
There was one thing I always told Chakochan when I was talking about coming back. If only one characteristic of an actor becomes popular, it is dangerous for him.
At that time I was planning a film called Elsamma, boy. He has the character of a milkman. His name is Unni, but people call him Palunni.
