I get rid of food moths once and for all. A simple joke never fails

Food moths are a problem that you get rid of tediously and with losses. It is usually necessary to have a large supply of food. Don’t let moths multiply in your home. We will advise you how to perform them.

Storage of dry foods

They’re called mealworms, but sadly, they don’t just choose the flour in which to nest. Much of the food you store without airtight containers is unsafe. Anyone who does not have a household equipped with resealable jars for croquettes must regularly check flour, rice, legumes, various seeds and nuts. Be careful not to store food for too long. Buying more isn’t a problem, but attacking more bulk food requires liquidating your stock, which is a shame.

Invasion of food moths

The problem is, you often get the food moth straight from the store. They thrive on bulk foods that have been stored improperly or with broken packaging and reproduce quickly. You bring a visitor without knowing about the threat. They soon find their way into other foods and the pantry immediately comes to life. All you have to do is throw out the infested food and treat the cabinet with disinfectant.

How to get rid of food moths

A few bay leaves will be enough to drive away moths from the pantry. Bay leaf is aromatic, its smell does not like food moths directly. Food moths try to avoid places where bay leaves are scattered. Put the bay leaves in a bag with the flour and add them to other bulk foods as well. You don’t have to worry, dried bay leaves don’t affect the taste or smell of any of the packaged foods. Leave a few loose bay leaves in your food cabinets.

Homemade moth repellent

You can easily make a home remedy to repel moths. It is made from baking soda and laurel essential oil. Add a teaspoon of baking soda to the essential oil in a sealable container and close the container. Punch a few small holes in the lid and your repeller is ready. Put it in your food pantry and on shelves where you store bulk mixes.

The most effective method against moths is to store food in resealable glass or plastic containers. If you don’t want to buy special food boxes, use ordinary screw-top jars.
