World champion MotoGP 2021, Fabio Quartararo admitted that he had to control his appetite because he ate too much rice and chicken in Mandalika.
Quartararo made this confession when he was at the media center of the circuit after the first day of the Mandalika MotoGP test, Friday (11/2). El Diablo said he had to put the brakes on his appetite ahead of the pre-season test at the Mandalika Circuit which lasted until Sunday (13/2).
“I’ve been eating too much rice and chicken since yesterday,” said Quartararo, smiling at the media as quoted from Detik.com.
“Before training, I have to practice and stop eating. But trying local food in an area, it’s a must,” he continued.
Quartararo also admitted that it was not the first time he had come to Indonesia. The French racer has come to Indonesia and always tries Indonesian specialties.
“I’ve been to Indonesia before and tried local food. It’s delicious, but now take care of the food first, especially the spicy one,” he said.
Quartararo himself recorded quite good results on the first day of the Mandalika MotoGP test. He occupies fifth position 0.642 seconds adrift of Pol Espargaro who occupies the top position.
Quartararo said he was happy with the results he achieved on the first day. “I’m happy with the results on the first day, to adjust again with the engine. Aerodynamics seems to be important at this circuit,” he said.
