Just after her victory, acquired by beating Spain and Armenia, Zoé shared her joy at the microphone of Olivier Minne, who hosted the competition, broadcast on France 2.

“I’m super happy. On stage, I was determined, I wanted to give all my energy. All these months of work, with my mother, my digital teams, my dancers and all those who helped me achieve it. getting there, paid off. I experienced school bullying and I would like to give hope, positivity and light to those who experienced the same thing with this song, which is incredible.”

A good hour later, she faced a crowded and enthusiastic press room (114 media outlets were accredited).

And after that, we found her in a smaller group, for a new stage of her media marathon. The price of glory…

How do you feel after this victory in Nice, in front of the French public?

It’s a lot of emotions. When I arrived, there was thunderous applause, and it was truly incredible. I’m so happy to be able to say to myself that I won, that we won and that we will be able, perhaps, to reorganize the competition in France.

How did you experience the moment before the results were announced?

I was impatient, I was a little stressed. With the dancers, we really held hands very, very tightly. I was looking to see if the numbers were going to increase, if I was going to come first.

Beyond your victory, what memories will you keep from this week in Nice?

It was a very intense week. We stayed among the candidates from morning until evening so we really bonded now. We shared lots of moments, we did little booms, dances and all that. And we were able to really talk about our daily lives. With some, we will keep in touch.

Do you feel like you delivered your best performance today?

Yes really. Yesterday, there was a rehearsal and I sang the song very well and I was told: “You do the same again tomorrow!”. But I didn’t want to do the same thing. I wanted to do even better.

Are you ready to get into a kind of whirlwind for a few days?

Already, I’m going to savor this moment, it’s going to be cool. I can’t wait to really realize that I won. And I want to see the images again, to see what it looked like!

After performing “Coeur”, a song which evokes school bullying, do you want to continue to fight against this phenomenon?

I will always continue, because I carry that within me, I will not forget it. So it’s also thanks to that that I performed well this evening. I think I’m going to talk about school bullying again in some interviews, to fully defend my cause.

You signed a contract with Parlophone, a Warner label. Do you have an idea of the path you would like to take now?

I would love to go to New York and meet Lady Gaga, already! After, I do not know. If there’s another opportunity available to me that I like, we’ll see. But for now, singing keeps me alive, so I put this option above all else.

Are you going to ask Lissandro, last year’s winner, for advice on what happens next?

Oh no, I don’t want to know too much. I’m going to have my own experience.
