The popular singer, who announced his first concert at the O2 a few weeks ago, said so during an interview in the studio of the eXtra Host show. And activism isn’t the only thing Landa has dabbled in. Years later, he gave up his great passion: car racing.

“This is Daniel Landa’s solo event. I’m putting together a great band and we want them to become great professionals. David is not a great professional. If he were there, he would be a decoration. He has a long-standing friendship with Matásek. “David and I share some youth, some memories. He’s a friend to me. We can disagree on a lot of things, I like him as a person and I’ll like him. We’ve never done anything. In fact. But he doesn’t talk about politics.
No more activism
“When I meet him, I’m interested in how he’s doing, how old his wife is, how she lives, and so on. I’m interested in him as a person. I don’t frame people. I’ve been to many of his weddings,” the singer added amused, but says he no longer remembers if he witnessed any of them as a witness. “I don’t remember many things due to being hit against trees and various injuries. I don’t remember being a witness, I remember being a participant.” says the singer, who does not wish any more accidents. And that’s why he decided to end his career as a racing driver.
“I was 54 years old. I don’t want to jump higher than I can jump anymore. I stopped running. It’s not scary. I got my driving license, I like to ride a motorcycle. I keep my skates in there. But those cars stopped to make sense to me after the almost three year hiatus. To run calmly, you need to ride and ride. If you’re trying to go fast and you’re not in gear, you’re going to crash. It costs a huge amount of money, time and has stopped making sense to me. Those races don’t fit my life today,” explained Landa, who was asked why he didn’t support Karel Janeček in the presidential election.
