Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not promise that Crimea will be de-occupied during 2023, but he hopes that in a year there will be no more war in Ukraine.

Details: Zelensky was asked what are the chances that the Ukrainians “can physically return Crimea this year.”
The President replied: “Every person in Ukraine really wants each next step to be decisive, last, victorious. And very often someone can’t stand it and emotionally talks to the press about this (about the timing of the return of all territories – ed.) .. .Sometimes this is wrong.”
According to Zelensky, this “cannot be forgiven,” but one can understand: one so wants to win, end the war and “return everything”: so that the military would be alive and return home, so that normal life would return.
Direct speech: “This is not enough – these emotions are not enough, it is not enough to want and speak, you have to work.
Answering the deadlines and steps, I can only say one thing: “It all depends on us”…
There are military steps, we are preparing for them. We are mentally prepared. We are preparing technically: with weapons, reinforcements, formation of offensive brigades, of different categories and different nature (training). We send people to study – not only in Ukraine, but at the sites of other states. Because the weapon is of a different type – and we must be ready.
And then there will be appropriate fair de-occupation steps. And God forbid that they be successful.”
Details: Zelensky was asked what could prevent him from winning before February 24, 2024.
The President replied that unity is important for victory.
Direct speech: “If there are not enough weapons, ammunition, shells, then of course we can lose. But the main thing is that we will lose our people. This will be another challenge for our country. The biggest problem that can happen is weakness inside our country .
I do not even want to think that next year on February 24 we will be in the same situation as now. It would be terrible. I don’t want to think about it. And you forget. We need to be sure. We will win.
Where are our Typhoon planes? Ask my friend Rishi (Sunaka – ed.).”
