Prof. Plamen Mollov, who did not appear before the hearing before the anti-corruption committee in the parliament yesterday, stated in the program “Since the day” on BNT that he did not bring money to the head of the BFSA Prof. Hristo Daskalov.
There was a meeting between the two, but according to Mollov his goal was to organize trainings for the employees of the BFSA, whose executive director is Prof. Dr. Daskalov. “I haven’t listened to the whole recording and I’m not interested,” he added. And he declined to comment further because he said he had to respect the secrecy of the pre-trial proceedings.
We remind you that last Friday a recording expired, which was allegedly made as an attempt to bribe the head of the Bulgarian Food Agency. Its authenticity was confirmed by one of the participants in it – the director of the agency Hristo Daskalov. The person who was claimed to be the second participant in the recording was Prof. Plamen Mollov, former director of the BFSA.
On the air, Mollov said that the accusations that had accumulated around his name these days were greatly exaggerated and unfair. He described them as “an attempt at political and public discredit aimed at diverting attention from the many crises in the country …”
Regarding the fact that Stefan Yanev differed from Mollov as a co-founder of his party, the professor commented: “It is only important for the party to be successful.”
