Emeritense with a German last name, he studied a double degree in Communication and Documentation in Badajoz. He discovered that the media was not his thing and decided to try marketing. Is it more of Reels or Tik-Tok?
Honestly, I like to record reels more but I like to consume Tik-tok more. The latter is a platform that catches me, really.
If you could go back in time, would you start again?
Yes of course. It gives you a lot of tables and makes you learn much faster.
How many times have you had to explain what you do?
Many times (laughs). The truth is that people don’t understand it at first, and they don’t understand that I can make a living doing what I do.
Which platform is better to find jobs?
Without a doubt, Linkedin, but I also tell you that I have met most of my clients through Instagram and by word of mouth. But if I had to stay with one, it would be Linkedin, since it allows you to create a good network of contacts and be able to communicate directly with the CEOs of the companies.
Do you consider yourself a digital marketing influencer?
It could be said yes. I help other companies and brands to position themselves on the Internet and have much more visibility. I currently have a lot of visibility and I try to focus that visibility on the positive so that other companies and brands can learn with me.
Do you turn off your mobile in your free time to disconnect?
No, I think that disconnecting doesn’t exist. The truth is that I dare not turn off my mobile because you never know if you are going to have to put out a fire.
Any secret to grow in followers?
It’s not a secret either, really. The content is the king and it is the one that will bring you followers. If your content interests the audience, you will gain followers. Being different and creative is what can make you have more reach and more followers. People follow you because they want to learn or because they want something from you. Brands have to learn to show themselves as close, entertaining and educational in order to reach their audience.
Does the freelance quota bother you more or come across fake profiles?
The freelance quota bothers me more (laughs), rather because it is quite high and in my opinion it is unfair. Fake profiles are condemned from the moment they are created, they are reported very soon and Instagram and Facebook do their job well to eliminate them.
What is the most important thing when posting content?
Be creative and know your client’s pain points. Social media management has a lot to do with marketing and strategy. You have to know how to create creative content that impacts our audience and that helps us to sell our product or service unconsciously.
What are your favorite tools for scheduling posts?
And if I tell you that I don’t program them? The truth is that I do not usually schedule any publication of any client or my own. I upload them by hand, and it has an explanation. If you upload the content manually you can interact with your audience ten minutes before and ten minutes after. This makes your post more likely to be shown to a wider audience because the platform identifies that you spend time on it and will show that content to the audience you’ve recently interacted with. That’s why I do it like this. Obviously I want the best results.
Can you rest one day during the week or on holidays?
No, not because I can’t, it’s because I don’t want to. There are days when “I have nothing to do”. I put a few quotation marks because we always have to do things, if it’s not the house, it’s the food. But I like to study or continue advancing with the ideas of my project on those days that I have more free or with less load.
How is Rosa Müller able to differentiate herself in such a saturated market?
The differentiation I think lies in the commitment, naturalness and transparency with which I move through digital marketing. If there is something that I cannot attend to or a client that does not fit in my portfolio, I tell them honestly: I cannot take your project this month. I prefer to give a good service to few clients than to have a saturated portfolio. If there is an issue that I do not control, I refer it to another professional, but I like to be calm with the service I sell and that my client feels accompanied throughout the process, that they have the results they expect. I put all the meat on the spit.
