[아시아경제 나한아 기자] In a Canadian village,’Secret Santa’ gave huge amounts of cash to neighbors suffering from the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).
On the morning of the 24th on Christmas Eve, AFP news agency reported on the 26th (local time) that an envelope was found in front of the home of 400 residents in a village in Edmonton in western Canada.
The envelope contained a poem that it would be a better New Year and a Wal-Mart gift card worth 250 Canadian dollars (about 215,000 won).
“I woke up and found this (envelope) with a large gift card on the stairs,” said villager Lee-Anne McNaughton on his Facebook page. “I cried all morning.”
Elisha Tennant, who lost his job due to the Corona 19 pandemic, said on CBC Canada, “It’s so warm and moving in my heart,” and “for us a month’s worth of food.
CBC contacted the secret Santa at the email address written on the envelope, but he said he did not want to disclose his identity.
In an email reply to CBC, Secret Santa said, “I decided to do this because a lot of people have had a really difficult year and I have the means to help them,” he said. We hope to give you the feeling that a bright future will come.”
